If you're having problems with too many popups in places where there shouldn't be (any). Try looking under add/remove programs, you might have unknowningly downloaded a program which might be causing these. Most will say something relevant to ads, advertising, or even as blanant as "AdPopUp", like Kazaa. Pages like X10 - if you goto their site will allow you to place a 30 day option for it not to show up again, if you can search through all the BS for the fine print to adjust it. You can also turn off your cookies for the max control of this problem... but it doesn't do much good if there's a program supplying it or you can't find the cookie to delete. |
